Winchester, NH: This past Saturday, Monadnock Speedway was once again a victim to Mother Nature setting up for a huge race venue on Saturday, September 5th.

This Saturday, Monadnock Speedway will welcome back the NEMA and NEMA Lites for their final visit at the high banks for the 2009 season. The NEMA race will be a special 40 lap event in honor of Marilyn Angelillo and will be named the “Marilyn’s Passion” Race Event.  The Modifieds also be part of the action along with Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Allison Legacy Series, 4-cylinder & Full Size Enduros. Due to the number of divisions competing on September 5th, pit gates will open at noon with practice starting at 2:30pm. There will be no heats races for the Mini Stocks, Super Stocks or Outlaw Pros. Race time is at 6pm.

September will be a very busy month of racing at Monadnock Speedway. Due to the last two weeks of rain outs, the Modifieds have been scheduled to compete in the next three race events including this weekend, Saturday – September 12th and the Friday Night Special Championship Race for the Modifieds and Outlaw Pros on September 19th. The Demolition Derby has been postponed to Saturday, September 12th. The 2009 season will conclude on Saturday, September 26th where the Super Stock, Mini Stock and Enduro champions will be crowned. The season finale will also include Pro 4 Modifieds, All Star Race Trucks, Allison Legacy, Spectators Race and the very popular School Bus Race! The Season Finale Special Event will begin at an earlier time, 2pm.
