PASS South will rumble in Raleigh Friday

NAPLES ME (5/4/2010) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South super late models roll into Wake County Speedway Friday evening May 7th for the Capitol City Clash, and the tough little speedway will test even the most talented veterans in the field.

Most of the paved ovals throughout the southeast are either side of the half mile mark in length, but Wake County is just under a quarter mile and the PASS super late models tour the track in under thirteen seconds. The action is fast and furious; a good spotter is a big plus and it takes a large dose of patience and a little luck to make it to the checkered flag.

The travelling super late model road show is closing in on the one-third mark of their 2010 season and fans of the series have seen three action packed events to date with an average of nearly forty teams attempting to qualify. Ryan Blaney captured the season opener at Dillon (SC) Motor Speedway and Preston Peltier has a two race win streak on the line with victories at Hickory Motor Speedway and Orange County under his belt. Peltier leads the PASS South point standings by ten over Blaney with Jay Fogleman, Heath Hindman and Andy Loden hot on their heels.

Jay Fogleman won the 2009 version of the Clash over Ben Rowe, Justin Wakefield, Preston Peltier and Heath Hindman.

The early entry list for the Capitol City Clash includes the top five in the standings plus Maine PASS North rookie of the year candidate Joey Doiron, home track hero Alex Fleming, Florida’s George Gorham and Joey Coulter, Clay Jones, Devin Jones, Vermonter Steve Legendre, Tim Pinion, Kenzie Ruston , Justin Wakefield, John Batten, Jimmy Weller and Dana White .

Add UCars, Bandoleros, the Allison Legacy Series and Legends to the mix and the Capitol City Clash is guaranteed to provide a non- stop evening of entertainment Pro All Stars style.
