MOHNTON, Pa. – Being the quickest competitor in NHRA Funny Car isn’t new to the driver of the DieHard Dodge Charger. Matt Hagan has reset his own national e.t. record three times, but he’d like to do a few more things, including make more history of his own as the Countdown to the Championship continues with the 27th annual Auto-Plus® NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway near Reading, Pa.

The defending event winners of the third of six events in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship are Larry Dixon (Top Fuel), Cruz Pedregon (Funny Car), Dave Connolly (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle).

NASCAR’S KURT BUSCH TO MAKE NHRA PRO DEBUT AT THE 41ST ANNUAL TIRE KINGDOM NHRA GATORNATIONALS

Busch will compete in the ultra-competitive Pro Stock category March 11-13 at Gainesville Raceway

GLENDORA, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2011) – Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has announced that he will be making his NHRA Full Throttle Series debut at the 41st annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals, March 11-13, at historic Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway.

The 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion will be competing for one of the 16 qualifying spots in the ultra-competitive Pro Stock class in the Shell Dodge Avenger for Allen Johnson and J & J Racing.

JOHN FORCE HONORED WITH SPIRIT OF FORD AWARD

Homestead, FL, Nov. 20, 2010 – John Force, who captured his record
15th NHRA Funny Car Championship with a come-from-behind victory last
weekend in Pomona, CA, was presented the prestigious Spirit of Ford
Award in a surprise ceremony here today at Ford Championship Weekend
in the Homestead-Miami Speedway media center.
