DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., — The Roar Before The Rolex 24, the three-day test session for the historic 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 28-29, kicked off on Friday at Daytona International Speedway.

Between GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, 112 cars are tackling the twists and turns of Daytona’s road course preparing for the Rolex 24 At Daytona Weekend. As the cars hit the track on the first day of the Roar Before The Rolex 24, it was clear that teams are taking this weekend’s test as seriously as any event on their 2012 schedules. SONOMA, Calif. (June 26, 2011) — Sonoma County is famous for wineries, not woodsheds, but Kurt Busch found the latter Sunday at Infineon Raceway, administering a good old-fashioned whipping to his NASCAR Sprint Cup competition in the Toyota/Save Mart 350.

Busch led 76 of 110 laps and beat runner-up Jeff Gordon to the finish line by 2.685 seconds to win his first race of the season and the 23rd of his career, tying him with Ricky Rudd for 26th on the career win list. The victory, which broke a 38-race drought, was Busch’s first on a road course.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis.—Call it what you will, but the finish of Saturday’s Bucyrus 200 Nationwide Series race was certainly interesting—and drawn out.

The scheduled 50-lap race on Road America’s 4.048-mile road course needed three green-white-checkered-flag attempts to determine a winner, and even on Lap 57, it was difficult to see that Reed Sorenson had won his first race since 2007.

SunTrust Team Focused on Elusive First Victory in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 1, 2011) – Italian lesson for today: “Così vicino, eppure così lontano!” Translation: “So close, yet so far!”

When it comes to the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, those words would sum up the road racing life of veteran Italian Max Angelelli, as well as that of SunTrust Racing team owner and three-time sports car racing champion Wayne Taylor. For, while they have been literal fixtures on the podium at America’s traditional midsummer endurance race during their illustrious careers, they still have yet to taste victory during the month of June at the legendary Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International road circuit. Continue reading “SunTrust Team Focused on Elusive First Victory in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen” »
