Seekonk, MA– Mike Holdridge of Madison, CT., started 22nd in a 29 car field, took the lead on lap 65, and went on to win the Valenti Modified Racing Series, 100-lap, “DAV Fall Classic” race Sunday afternoon at Seekonk Speedway, Seekonk, MA.

The win was the second of the season for the second-generation driver. Holdridge also becomes the eighth different driver to win the eighth annual event.

Last year Johnny Benson Jr. of NASCAR truck fame, came to Seekonk Speedway for the first time to compete in the ISMA 100. He left Seekonk with his career-first ISMA victory after an exciting battle with Chris Perley to the end of the 1st annual Racing Against Cancer 100. Benson duplicated his feat Sunday at the Cement Palace with a few different adversaries, but an equally awesome run. Benson was able to present the $2,500 ISMA check once again to the Racing Against Cancer effort and he also participated in the Cancer Team Walk on Saturday for one fulfilling weekend.

Canaan, N.H. – -Two traditional race events, popular with fans and competitors alike, will determine the 2011 Valenti Modified Racing Series championship.

As in past years, the run to the title could be claimed this weekend, Oct 8 and 9, at Seekonk Speedway. Seekonk, MA., at the annual “DAV Fall Classic,” or Oct 22, and 23 at New Hampshire’s Lee USA Speedway as part of that track’s 25th annual “Oktoberfest” weekend.

The management of Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment & Seekonk Speedway, announce the re-scheduling of the Racing Against Cancer 100 from Saturday to Sunday at 2pm. This change is made based on a review of all available weather data, and in full consideration and concern for our race fans and competitors. A podium finish at Seekonk Speedway kicks off Joey Polewarczyk’s second half of 2011

(Seekonk, MA)- The start of the second half of the 2011 race season got off to a great start Saturday Night for the Joey Polewarczyk Race Team.

Polewarczyk, a native of Hudson, NH made the trip to his favorite track to compete in the Seekonk Speedway, PASS 150. Joey says, “We were fast right off the hauler. Seekonk Speedway Race Report

SEEKONK, Mass. – Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, finished fourth in the PASS North Series PASS 150 at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Mass., on Saturday, August 6. It was Sommerville’s second straight Top-5 finish, and came after he won his heat race in his debut at the unique .333-mile facility. Sommerville started 11th and moved into the Top-5 by Lap 61. Despite a tight handling race car, Sommerville capitalized on a restart with 12 laps remaining to grab fourth at the checkered flag.
