BRADFORD, VT – In 2010, “Flatfoot Joe” Krawiec of Bristol, CT became the first champion in the Quad 4 Midgets at Whip City Speedway in Westfield, MA. A year later and 140 miles farther north on I-91, history repeated itself as he became the first champion in the USAC Dirt Midget Association at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT.

BRADFORD, VT……”Flatfoot Joe” Krawiec of Bristol, CT cinched the first USAC Dirt Midget Association Championship by winning his fourth feature of the season at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday night. Krawiec started sixth and grabbed the lead of the non-stop event on lap four. Scott Holcomb of Granby, CT used his runner-up finish to secure the second spot in the points battle and Tony Montesi of Roxbury, CT came home third to secure his first podium finish of the season. Dana Shaw of Plainfield, CT had another strong run, coming from 11th to finish fourth. Jamie Spalding of Chaplin, CT was fifth, completing an all Nutmeg State top five. Both heats and the feature went green to checker.

USAC DMA Midgets Return to Bear Ridge Speedway this Saturday,
Added to New England Dirt Track Championship on September 24

BRADFORD, VT – The wingless wildcats of the USAC Dirt Midget Association return to Bear Ridge Speedway this Saturday night September 11 for what was scheduled to be their final appearance of the season. Fans of the DMA’s style of side-by-side, three wide, open cockpit, open wheel breathtaking action will be happy to hear that there are two more shows on tap.

New Car No Problem For Kevin Chaffee in USAC DMA Midgets at Bear Ridge

BRADFORD, VT – Wheeling a car that hadn’t been raced since 2003 and which he hadn’t laid eyes on until he got to the track, “The Fairlee Flier” Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT defeated a series record field of 18 entrants to win his second consecutive USAC Dirt Midget Association feature at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT on Saturday.

BRADFORD, VT…… “The Fairlee Flier” Kevin Chafee of Fairlee, VT defeated a series record field of 18 entrants to win his second consecutive USAC Dirt Midget Association feature at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT on Saturday. After a side-by-side battle with 69 year old New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame member Ray Miller of East Granby, CT, Chaffee had no trouble holding off his teammate “Flatfoot Joe” Krawiec of Bristol, CT. Miller came home third while teammates Tony Montesi of Roxbury, CT and Tim Gallant of Wales, MA completed the top five.

Kevin Chaffee Breaks Through the Bridesmaid Barrier,
Takes First USAC DMA Win at Bear Ridge Speedway

BRADFORD, VT – After finishing second in all three of his previous USAC Dirt Midget Association starts, ‘The Fairlee Flier,” Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT finally grabbed the brass ring with a win at Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday. The former Sportsman Coupe track champion started ninth and played the role of the crayfish, scuttling his way around the bottom of the race track enroute to victory lane in the 20 lap event.

BRADFORD, VT…… After three runner-up finishes this season, ‘The Fairlee Flier” Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT won the 20 lap USAC Dirt Midget Association at Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday. A former track champion in Sportsman Coupe division, Chaffee is in his rookie year in a midget. Second place finisher Scott Holcomb of Granby, CT started tenth and third place finisher Jeff Horn of Hudson, NH had to come from the tail end after being caught up in a mid-race incident. Ray Miller and Tim Gallant completed the top five.

Randy Cabral and Lanson Fornoro Announce Plans to Get Dirty

BRADFORD, VT – The USAC DMA Midgets have been added to Interstate Battery of New-Mont Night at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday August 6. The Midgets will join an action packed show for all the weekly divisions – including the Bear Ridge Coupes- the Granite State Mini Sprints and an antique tractor show.

Scott Holcomb Takes USAC DMA Win at Bear Ridge, Ends Joe Krawiec’s Streak

BRADFORD, VT – There were 15 USAC DMA Midget drivers on hand at Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday night and 14 of them had only one thing in mind: beating Flatfoot Joe Krawiec to end his three race winning streak.
Former Empire Super Sprints chauffer Scott Holcomb of Granby, CT was up to the challenge. Starting eighth, he took the lead from Jamie Spalding on lap six and held off a determined effort from former Bear Ridge Coupe Champion Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT, who started 10th. It was Holcomb’s first Midget victory.

BRADFORD, VT…….. Former Sprint Car driver Scott Holcomb of Granby, CT ended Joe Krawiec’s win streak with a hard fought victory in the 25 lap USAC Dirt Midget Association feature at Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday. Home track hero Kevin Chaffee of Fairlee, VT scored his third runner-up finish of the season and New England Auto Racing Hall of Famer Ray Miller was third.. Krawiec and Dana Shaw completed the top five. Holcomb also won his heat, but he nearly didn’t make it to the track- his tow vehicle blew it’s diesel torque tube three times on the way.
