Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Preview

THE STORY

This weekend, a pair of Mulkern Racing entries will try and win the most prestigious regular-season PASS North Series race on the schedule, when Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, and Scott Mulkern of Falmouth, Maine, head to the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine. Sommerville won the last time the series visited Beech Ridge, back in July, taking the No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Community Pharmacies Chevrolet to Victory Lane for the first time this season. Mulkern, who has a both a track champion and a PASS Outlaw Late Model win at the track on his resume, competes in a PASS event for the fourth time this season.

Timmons Earning His Racing Stripes At Beech Ridge

FALMOUTH, Maine – Bobby Timmons is showing that he’s a quick study.

Timmons, 19, had never driven anything more than go-karts and Legend cars before this month, but the up-and-coming talent on the New England stock-car circuit is quickly adapting to life in a Super Late Model. Timmons has just three career starts at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, but he’s already opening eyes.

Aaron Ricker finally knocks down the door to Beech Ridge victory lane.

Beech RidgeScarborough,Maine- Following 3 straight second place finishes, Saturday night Aaron Ricker was to be denied no more as the young driver scored his first Pro Series win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The headline division of the NASCAR All American Series fielded 20 cars on Saturday night with Ricker starting from position 16. Tyler King led the opening 3 laps before yielding to Steve Carrier following a lap 4 caution flag. Carrier would stay out front until lap 10 when Joey Doiron slipped into the lead using the inside line. While all of this was going on, Ricker had moved through traffic to be third by lap 17. Bill Rodgers wins Pro Series at Beech Ridge in thrilling style.

Beech RidgeScarborough,Maine-Bill Rodgers won the Pro Series 40 lap main event on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in a drag race to the finish line on the final lap. Getting to the point was a journey though as Rodgers started deep in the 18 car field. Steve Jones jumped from the pole position to lead the opening 18 laps as Bob Gahan was never more than a foot off from his rear bumper. CT., took his turn in victory lane after capturing the Valenti Modified
Racing Series sanctioned, “Beech Ridge 100,” Saturday night, August 6, at the historic Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Scarborough, ME.

Les Hinckley, of Windsor Locks, CT., and local favorite, David Pinkham,
Buxton, ME., swapped the lead back and forth in the early going with Pinkham taking the top spot leading laps 16 through 41.

Brian Hoar: ACT Late Model Tour
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report

Beech RidgeSCARBOROUGH, Maine – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished sixth in the American Canadian Tour 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, July 30. Hoar started the feature on the outside pole after an impressive 9th-to-4th-place run in his heat race, and he cleared the polesitter on the first lap and went on to lead 43 laps. He would eventually be passed, and settle into the Top-5 for the rest of the race as his handling continued to go away. In the closing laps, Hoar battled with teammate Austin Theriault to give RPM Motorsports two cars in the Top-6 at the checkered flag.
